Resource Work Cooperative is an independently funded, not-for-profit workers co-operative. Started in 1993, Resource employs 40 people.
Vision
Their vision is a future where waste is redefined as a valuable resource.
They have three main objectives that drive their work:
- To promote waste minimisation in the community
- To create employment
- To minimise waste
They operate a host of resource recovery initiatives including:
- Education Program
- 4 Free E-waste Donation Points
- Free Community Pick Up Service
- Urban Salvage Service
- Timber Reclamation
- Online Sales
- Second-hand Electronics and sales
- Computer Repair and Sales
- Creative and Practical Re-Use Workshops
- Annual Art From Trash Exhibition
They also support many local community groups and deliver programs throughout the broader community.
