Since 1998, Nundah Community Enterprises Co-operative has created meaningful employment for people with psychosocial or intellectual disabilities. Owned by its workers, the co-op runs four social enterprises: Espresso Train Café in Nundah Brisbane, Marhaba Café in Brisbane’s CBD, a parks and property maintenance service and a new youth co-operative initiative.

Focusing on individuals often overlooked in traditional job markets, Nundah Co-op provides long-term, reliable employment, helping workers transition from social welfare to sustainable livelihoods.
As the award-winning co-op says, “The stories of members like Michael and Danny are the heart of our thriving enterprise.” Nundah proves that inclusive employment can transform lives and strengthen communities.
