From Warwick Credit Union to Darling Downs Bank
Darling Downs Bank, formerly Warwick Credit Union, has served Southern Queensland since 1970. Established in Warwick as a member-owned financial institution, it has steadily expanded across the region with branches in Allora, Dalby, Gympie, Killarney, Inglewood, Toowoomba and Warwick. In September 2025 the bank rebranded to Darling Downs Bank, bringing all locations together under one consistent identity that reflects its deep connection to the region.
A regional bank, member-owned
As a customer-owned bank, Darling Downs Bank reinvests profits into services for members and the communities it serves. At a time when many banks are closing regional branches, Darling Downs Bank is strengthening its local presence. The rebrand highlights its commitment to providing personal service, competitive products and local decision-making while ensuring members across all branches feel part of a single, recognisable institution.
Expanding into Toowoomba
In September 2025, Darling Downs Bank officially opened a new branch in Toowoomba, one of Queensland’s largest regional centres. The expansion, officially opened by Queensland Treasurer David Janetzki MP, demonstrates the bank’s belief in the growth and potential of regional Queensland.
By uniting under the Darling Downs Bank identity, the institution continues to honour its history while positioning itself for sustainable growth in regional banking.
